Tell your Legislators to stop funding Crisis Pregnancy Centers
There are over 192 state-funded Anti-Abortion Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs) in Florida that claim promote safe reproductive healthcare. They do not live up to these claims and instead, shame, intimidate and mislead pregnant people.
CPCs received $4.5 million in state funding last year. Our tax dollars support these businesses that lie to Floridians seeking help and guidance.
We must speak out!
Here are ways you can TAKE ACTION:
1 – Contact all of your legislators by using these links:
2 – Decide if you are going to call and/or write to them.
3 – Take action by using this sample script or email text:
Hi, my name is [name], and I am an advocate for reproductive rights and freedom and your constituent. I oppose state-funding to Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs). These centers claim to promote reproductive care but instead, shame, intimidate and mislead pregnant people.
CPCs received $4.5 million in state funding last year. I do not want my tax dollars supporting businesses that lie to Floridians seeking help and guidance at a vulnerable time in their lives.
In 2017, the Floridians for Reproductive Freedom coalition’s Fake Clinic Work Group published a report, uncovering the deceit and improper practices of these clinics. – “Since 2009, the Florida Legislature has allocated more than $30 million to Florida Pregnancy Care Network (FPCN) to manage the services with a goal of “solely promot[ing] childbirth.”
The report, “Inefficiency and Ideology Within the Florida Pregnancy Support Services Program is Wasting Millions in Taxpayer Dollars” can be found online at https://floridareprofreedom.org/report/ and provides the evidence that these centers are unconstitutionally funded with taxpayer dollars.
Sincerely,
